end hunger

Hunger is a complex problem. We can solve it together.

We recognize that hunger is a difficult issue, so we are approaching it from many sides. We’re working to promote economic stability, improve access to nutritious food, and ask for regulations that make it simpler for people to acquire the food they need.
We are part of a statewide network of food banks, food pantries, and community-based groups in India aiming to ensure that no one goes hungry in the future.

An India where no one is hungry

We all have the right to eat enough food without having to worry about whether or not we can afford it. We are working to make this a reality at Food Box Foundation

Ensuring that everyone receives the nourishment they require with dignity and respect.

We are part of a countrywide network of more than 50 food banks and 60,000 meal programs that provide individuals with food without judgment or stigma.

Advocating for policies that improve food security for all.

We work with lawmakers to make it easier for people to get food by expanding access to food assistance programs.

Collaboration to address the root causes of food insecurity, such as high living costs and a lack of access to affordable housing.

Because there is more to ending hunger than just food, we collaborate with organizations to address the root causes of hunger so that people can thrive.

Collaboration with local food banks and meal delivery services

When you donate to Food Box Foundation, you are assisting a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries, and meal programs in providing resources to people who are hungry.

1. Rescuing Food

Food Box works with the food industry to rescue food that would otherwise go to waste.

2. Storing Food

Network food banks collect, store, and distribute food to local pantries and meal programs.

3. Distributing Food

The network’s food pantries and meal programs distribute food to their communities.

How we end hunger

1. Food Access

In 2022, the Food Box network distributed 5.2 billion meals through programs like mobile pantries and Kids Cafes to help people in communities like yours get the food they need to thrive.

2. Food Rescue

We collaborate with food companies and farmers in donating food to food banks that would otherwise go to waste. The Food Box network alone rescued 1000 kg of food and groceries in 2023

3. Disaster Response

When disaster strikes, people who are food insecure are often the hardest hit. We are one of the nation’s largest disaster relief organizations, and we are present before, during, and after a disaster to assist communities in receiving food and emergency aid.

3. Hunger Research

To develop effective solutions to end hunger, we must first understand the people and communities affected by hunger. Food Box conducts research, such as the Map the Meal Gap study, every year to learn more about food insecurity in local communities.
